Ok, so I admit that I thought Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake was a gimmick. There are about four or five variations of Snow Fairy circulating at Lush right now for Holiday 2024 and it felt a little bit of a cash grab to go that crazy with this scent. Sure, I adore it but why do we have a bi-phase formula, a two tone formula, a glitter version, a non-glitter version, etc…etc..! It seemed excessive. But Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake surprised, delighted, and made me a believer.
Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake is a new, limited-edition never before seen formulation of Snow Fairy Shower Gel in a new creamier texture. I was pretty sure it would just be the regular old shower gel with very little differences but I was wrong. The big claim here is that this was created with oat milk which “cools and calms” skin. Hmm ok but let’s compare the ingredients of the original to the new Snow Fairy Milkshake!
Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake Ingredients:
Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Oat Milk, Water, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Fine Sea Salt, Fragrance, Lauryl Betaine, Titanium Dioxide, Fresh Cherry Juice, Lactic Acid, Persian Lime Oil, Synthetic Musk, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, *Limonene, Red 33 Lake
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel Ingredients:
Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Water, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Fine Sea Salt, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Lactic Acid, Persian Lime Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Musk, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, *Limonene, Red 4, Red 33
As you can see there are indeed different. Milkshake has the oat milk but not the Aloe Vera plus the addition of Fresh Cherry Juice which I thought might morph the scent but nope, it has that delicious fruity cherry gumball cotton candy scent that the original has. Oat Milk a humectant which means it will help the skin retain water. The addition of this also, completely changed the formula. It’s creamier, thicker, and much, much more moisturizing than the original. It basically reminds me of my favorite in shower moisturizer, Jergens Wet Skin Body Moisturizer, but it creates a creamy lather so it cleanses as it acts as a body cream too which the Jergens version doesn’t do! I always appreciate a thick, creamy lather and this creates plenty of it plus the scent is gorgeous and lingers well after your shower.
All I can say is Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake Shower Gel is not a gimmick! This one is a fabulous little formula that feels like hybrid shower gel and body lotion all-in-one! Run to grab it as it’ll be gone when the Holidays are over!
