Aritzia Has Tons of Items on Sale Right Now: What to Buy

Right now is the perfect time to shop. Summer is over, and a plethora of retailers are clearing out their inventory for fall—which means almost everything is marked down. I know you’re probably thinking, “Why would I need to shop for warm-weather clothes now that fall is upon us?” Well, as it turns out, a lot of items offered during the summer can actually work for fall and winter—when styled correctly. Take denim, for example. You can wear straight-leg jeans with a chunky knit and sneakers or a denim dress with a cardigan and over-the-knee boots. Let’s talk about white T-shirts. They’re perfect on their own with shorts in July, but can be worn under a classic trench coat with leather pants and loafers in October. You see the vision, right?

As a fashion editor, I’m using this sale to beef up the basics portion of my wardrobe. I plan to refresh my closet with new T-shirts and tanks that will be great for layering as temperatures in New York continue to drop. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to add some new trousers to my work wardrobe rotation, specifically the Babaton Dynamic Pant, which is on sale for $64 and offers a high-waisted fit with a wide leg and pleats. I can already see myself styling them with a black tank top, a blazer, and pointed-toe boots.

Trousers—especially in the color khaki—can be quite boring and feel repetitive, but the Babaton Dynamic Pant feel chic and interesting due to the cropped construction and flowy wide leg.

A little black dress goes a long way. The look is perfect for all seasons, but can be especially sexy during fall. For a date night, I’d pair this frock under a long trench coat with croc-embossed over-the-knee boots.

Denim maxi skirts have been trending for a minute now, and they’re here to stay. This one falls right at the ankle and features a slightly distressed hem. Wear it to work with a button-up shirt and ballet flats or out with the girls with a black tank and strappy sandal heels.

Denim jackets are a wardrobe staple, and having an array of options only enhances your wardrobe. The cool thing about this piece is that during the colder months you can wear this as a shirt with leather pants.

Dramatic cuffs are also hot right now. The look gives traditional or more classic looks a slightly dramatic edge. This style would pair especially well with a pointed heel or a statement flat as all eyes will be on the hem.

With winter approaching, it’s smart to get ahead of the cold and grab a puffer. In recent years, puffer coats have become more fashionable, with It Girls pairing the look with everything from leather pants to slip dresses.
