[It’s] after Nicole Brown Simpson because that was my mom’s best friend,” she said, “And I’m honored to have this name.”
Kim Kardashian also revealed that it was hard to navigate family life amid the trial. “We didn’t really know what to believe or whose side to take as kids ’cause we didn’t want to hurt one of our parents’ feelings,” she told David Letterman on his show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on Netflix.
Caitlyn Jenner, who divorced Kris in 2014, went to X to react to the death of OJ Simpson. As mentioned above, it appears Simpson’s health had been deteriorating for some time. Sports Illustrated reported in February 2024 that he was undergoing chemotherapy for prostate cancer but he took to Twitter (X) to deny that he was going into hospice care. “Hospice? I don’t know who put that out there but I guess it’s like Donald says, ‘You can’t trust the media!’”
His final act on social media was shared on February 11, 2024, when he expressed his support for the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl and gave fans an update on his health. “Let me take a moment to say thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good. Obviously, I’m dealing with some issues but I think I’m just about over it and I’ll be back on that golf course hopefully in a couple of weeks.”
In May 2023, Simpson posted a video on X revealing that he’d recently “caught cancer” and “had to do the whole chemo thing.” He added, “It looks like I beat it.” Simpson didn’t specify the nature of the cancer.
