Morgane Stephanazzi, PARIS FRANCE – Iles Formula

Iles Formula Hair Talk welcomes Parisienne hairdresser Morgane Stehanazzi for this month’s Hair Talk.

1. Tell us a bit about your trajectory into hair?

I started hairdressing at the age of 13, completely by chance, and then chance did it in the right way. I haven’t stopped since. I arrived in Paris at the age of 15, alone, in a small apartment with huge ambitions. I kept working and started doing studio work. The years go by and so do the jobs, I do beauty, fashion, and a lot of runway shows. I opened my first salon in 2019, followed by L’Endroit Paris in 2021, a loft where I do hair and welcome clients in a special way: intimate, private and personalized. In September 2024, I opened L’Endroit Marseille. Today, I juggle between my locations and studio work.

2. What would you term as your specialty within your trade?

I’m very good at technique: color / balayage – and in the studio I love beauty, I love styling.

3. What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

I love absolutely every part of it, whether it’s working with customers or models, I love the interaction, the change and the magic.

4. Why did you choose the path of hairdressing and was it easy to fall into this work?

Complete coincidence, nothing predestined me to do this. I wanted magic; and in hairdressing, you make magic, every day. A teenage crisis led me to start doing hair, and then the beauty came out of that story.

5. If you had not made the decision to be a hairdresser what would you have been?

Interior designer, architect

6. What is your greatest strength?

My determination

7. Your favorite hairdressing tools?

My hands

8. Tell us about your relationship with Iles Formula. How you discovered us and which formula is your favorite?

I discovered it via a commercial, and I think the Shampoo + Conditioner is an absolutely wonderful duo.

9. What was the most challenging job you ever made?

In the studio: a project lasting several months for a TV show, a huge amount of time, travel and hard work over several months. In the salon: sometimes 8/9/10-hour transformations to restore a client’s gray hair, a lot of time and energy, but so much satisfaction.

10. What was your worst hair moment and why, privately or on set/stage or in the salon?

My worst moment was on a video clip, the wait was getting long and I was looking for the artist, I found someone in the corridor to whom I said how horrible the organization was and it was the artist in question.

11. If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be and why?

My grandmother’s hair is the kind I would have dreamed of styling all my life.

12. Where do you pull hair inspiration from?

I’m inspired by everything I see. What I love above all is subtlety, materials and nuances.

13. Your advice to young hairdressers starting out?

To trust your intuition, that hair is learned in the field, not in books.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
